Global Marketing Assistant Porto (m/f)

The Marketing Assistant role is responsible for implementing the overall marketing strategy of Startup Portugal and coordinating the presence in national and global events, providing support to the Global Relations Manager. Should focus on outcome and should link to purpose and objectives of Startup Portugal, reporting to a Director.


Profile

The applicant should have relevant experience in providing marketing support, gained in a multicultural environment. Experience in event management, brand activation, digital marketing tools and dealing with suppliers is desirable. It should be able to work well under pressure with conflicting priorities in a fast paced environment. Skills and competencies should include organization and planning, attention to detail, problem solving, ability to multi-task, initiative, ability to prioritize, reliability, creativity, good verbal and written communication skills (absolute fluency in Portuguese and English), excellent interpersonal skills, good computer literacy and IT adaptability.


Responsibilities / Requirements

Assisting the implementation of a marketing strategy. Monitoring the progress of the marketing strategy and reporting to management with recommendations to improve ROI. Organizing and managing national and international events in Portugal. Identifying targets and key messages to insure the effectiveness of different marketing initiatives. Coordinating with Creative and Content team to promote and engage events. Collecting information about entrepreneurs, associates and investors, for database update. Being accountable for archives and reports of marketing activities. Briefing suppliers, checking supply requisitions and deliveries, providing information about purchases to Finance. Monitoring a constant supply of marketing materials, judging priorities and ensuring the delivery of a high level of service.
