Promote clarification, trust and business growth
in the Financial Industry

New methods of payments, blockchain, bitcoins, altcoins, all crypto-currencies, token economy, GDPR. In a fast-moving tech environment, how can we capture innovation without breaking trust and destroying value? Are the traditional players in financial industry anticipating how technology will disrupt business models? How will regulatory frameworks designed to fit traditional banking and financial services move into tailoring it to the needs of new businesses? Can early-stage companies get access to capital without a clear regulatory framework to operate in? What do business leaders and innovators feel to be the most pressing issues, when it comes to regulation? Will regulation alone make Portugal a destiny of choice for talent and investment in Fintech?

At Startup Portugal, we believe collaboration is key to build a thriving industry. It’s part of our mission to voice the concerns and needs of entrepreneurs and to facilitate the dialogue between startups, big corporates and Government.

The Startup Portugal Think Tank on Fintech will bring together innovators, established players and law makers in the Financial Industry to shed light on current constraints, uncertainties and bottlenecks to growth.
