More solutions coming from Tech4Covid19

There’s usually a good side for evey coin. The Covid-19 pandemic is a bad side for itself, but balance was restored with communal initiatives taking place everywhere in the world. Portugal’s entrepreneurial community took the lead with their efforts as movement Tech4Covid19. As of now, the movement has more than 4700 volunteers collaborating, the support of more than 160 startups, and is currently working in 27 initiatives.

This article updates data published in a previous one with the most recent initiatives coming to live thanks to the efforts of Portugal’s startups and its entrepreneurs.

Mental Health has never been so tested as in times of social distancing and voluntary confinement. This is way Tech4Covid19 started a service to connect voluntary mental health experts and people in need.

Getting out of the house is something to manage carefully during such times. You want to be clinical in your outings. Posso ir? is the best tool to make it happen: a way to check how busy the store, pharmacy or service provider you want to go to.

Student KEEP e Tools 4 Edu

One of the first sectors to come to a halt due to the pandemic was the education one. Schools closed, some are trying e-learning alternatives, but there’s still major challenges to overcome. Student KEEP aims to make access to education as equal as possible, while Tools 4 Edu is a set of suggestions and services for both teachers and students to help them with e-learning.

Rooms Against Covid

Health professionals have families, others have close ones with whom they share parts of their lives — and everyone needs to be protected at this point. To make sure the true heroes of this story are allowed to rest, to recover, and to do so without risking infecting others, short term rental owners joined efforts to provide these people with accommodation, free of charge.

Animalar

Not all families are exclusively human. Some have fur-friends, which still need love, care and support, to make sure their human friends have the same treatment on they get home. To make sure no one is left behind, Tech4Covid19 set up services from pet sitting to animal hotels, to dog walkers and thus ensuring everyone for the health professional family has the due support.

Vejo em Casa

Staying home was easy when you had alternatives. Now that it represents a big part of everyone’s lives, making sure content, events, and all things necessary to make the mind leave the confinement is available becomes a need — and a rather important one. Vejo em Casa is a streaming platform compiling original content, and more, to make sure time spent at home is not wasted.

Team Loan

With companies and businesses recurring to lay-off situations, some of them are now fighting for their actual lives. To make sure damages are reduced to the minimum, a Team Loan platform was set, where companies share teams and make sure the business stays as much “as usual” as possible.
