Oi, Floripa: Portuguese Startups at Startup Summit

Oi, Floripa: Portuguese Startups at Startup Summit

Florianópolis, August 26 to 28, 2026

Startup Portugal is heading back to Brazil. From August 26 to 28, five Portuguese startups will take part in Startup Summit, one of the country’s leading technology and entrepreneurship events, held at the Florianópolis Convention Centre.

The mission is part of Startup Portugal’s Business Abroad program, which supports the presence of Portuguese startups at major international technology and entrepreneurship events. This is Portugal’s second time at Startup Summit, after its debut in 2024.

Why Brazil, why now

For Portuguese startups, Brazil remains a strategic market. Beyond the shared language and cultural proximity, it offers strong potential for building partnerships, attracting investment, and growing internationally, with access to other relevant Latin American markets represented at the conference.

This delegation brings together companies from Energy, Health, Artificial Intelligence, Human Resources, and Entertainment, reflecting the diversity of the Portuguese ecosystem. Together, these startups employ 134 people and have raised more than €18 million in investment.

Business Abroad spotlight

At Startup Summit, an event that gathers 10,000 participants and more than 200 speakers, the five startups will have three days to present their solutions to Brazilian investors and potential partners.

The Portuguese delegation at Startup Summit includes:

  • Enline – Develops AI-based digital twins for electrical grids, helping optimize assets, predict failures, and improve energy efficiency.
  • coalex.ai – AI management platform that works as a “decision firewall”.
  • Deeploy – Platform specialized in recruitment and outsourcing.
  • sheerME – App that helps consumers find, book, and pay for beauty and wellness services.
  • Good Casting – Digital platform that connects talent with brands and production companies, managing casting and selection processes in the media and entertainment industry.

A consistent bet on Brazil

Startup Portugal’s focus on the Brazilian market has been consistent over the past few years. This past July, a Portuguese delegation took part in Web Summit Rio, reinforcing the national presence in one of the most relevant markets for the internationalization of Portuguese companies.

In 2026, Business Abroad has already secured 120 startup participations across seven international conferences, from Qatar to Paris: Web Summit Qatar (Doha), 4YFN (Barcelona), Web Summit Vancouver (BC, Canada), South Summit (Madrid), Web Summit Rio (Rio de Janeiro, RJ), VivaTech (Paris), and now Startup Summit (Florianópolis, SC).
