Portugal’s Entrepreneurial Universities Ranking 2025 aims to highlight the growing importance of entrepreneurship within higher education institutions. By mapping the number of alumni from each university or polytechnic institute who have become founders of startups, this measure assesses one indicator of an institution’s entrepreneurial impact — its ability to foster founders who turn knowledge into innovation.

This Ranking captures the growing contribution of Portugal’s universities and polytechnics to the national innovation ecosystem, providing a foundation for ongoing analysis of how academic environments nurture entrepreneurial talent.
