Purpose of the MoU:

This agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in the areas of Industry 4.0, innovation, entrepreneurship, startups, and internationalization of companies. It is based on mutual benefit and focuses on cooperation, institutional and technical, for the internationalization of the programs of both countries. Thus, increasing the competitiveness and productive growth of the industrial sectors.

The agreement encourages cooperation between the two entities in the following areas:

• Sharing of information, experiences, good practices, and procedures.
• Collaboration in initiatives and projects of mutual interest and benefit.
  Support in business contacts and exchange of delegations and experts in the areas of cooperation registered.
• Collaboration in organizing conferences and supporting participation in meetings, seminars, and workshops, both in Portugal and Brazil.
  Preparation of joint notices for the promotion of programs related to the cooperation between the parties.

Collaboration protocol

Entities Involved: IAPMEI/ PROEMPRESA

Purpose of the Protocol:

This agreement aims to establish a close collaboration between the two entities, in the fields of qualification, promotion of innovative investment and I&D, sharing of good practices, and benchmarking of financing instruments, as well as in the development of joint actions to promote investment in micro, small and medium-sized companies.

The agreement encourages cooperation between the two entities in the following areas:

• Conducting periodic consultations to share reciprocal experiences and knowledge.
  Study and evaluation of the implementation of projects and actions in the fields of entrepreneurship and business development.
• Facilitation of exchanges between SMEs, in areas related to competitiveness, innovation, and sharing of good practices.
• Organization of business cooperation missions and staff training programs.

Memorandum of Understanding

Entities Involved: Startup Portugal and Invest India

Purpose of the MoU:

Provide a favorable business environment and the necessary guidance to startups for the promotion and sustainable growth of their businesses in both India and Portugal. With the support of the Portuguese and Indian Governments, the signatory entities undertake to coordinate the efforts of investors, incubators, consultants, universities, research and development centers, and development institutions, with the goal of empowering the Startup sector in both countries.

The MoU encourages cooperation between the two entities in the following areas:

• Assist startups throughout their life cycle with specific focus on important aspects like obtaining financing, market expansion, feasibility testing, business structuring advisory, enhancement of marketing skills, technology trade, and performance evaluation.
• Development of joint programs between the two entities with incubation centers, educational institutions, and private entities that promote innovation.
  Invest India sees itself as a point of contact to support Portuguese startups, venture capital firms, and other agents of the national ecosystem interested in the Indian market.
• Invest India undertakes to support the logistics and coordination of annual visits by delegations of Portuguese startups to India, with a minimum of 5 participants.
  Startup Portugal will extend to its community of startups, and to the other agents of its ecosystem, the invitations to participate in events of Indian startups supported by Invest India.

 Purpose of the MoU:

With the signing of this MoU, the signatories seek to promote entrepreneurship, as well as economic and business cooperation in areas related to startups, considering these companies a key player for boosting employment, internationalization efforts, and creating new dynamics for business growth.

The MoU encourages cooperation between the two entities in the following areas:

• Logistical support in promotional actions, such as seminars, workshops, exhibitions, and bootcamps.
• Organization of startups delegations and meetings related to its promotion in Portugal or Luxembourg.
• Identification of sources of financing, related to programs and projects for developing startups and promoting entrepreneurship.
• Human Resources training actions in areas of mutual interest, focusing on Entrepreneurship and Startups, to be carried out in Portugal and Luxembourg.
• Exchange and mutual availability of information through the contact details of each entity, including the publication of mutual content on the corresponding electronic platforms.
• Promotional actions can take place in both countries and both entities are committed to providing operational and logistical support to the activities carried out in their territory.

Entities Involved: Startup Portugal and Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR)

Purpose of the MoU:

With the signing of this MoU, the signatories seek to promote entrepreneurship, as well as economic and business cooperation in the areas related to startups, considering these companies key players for boosting employment, internationalization, and creating new dynamics for business growth.

The MoU encourages cooperation between the two entities in the following areas:

• Execution of investment projects or joint ventures between Portuguese startups and Startups of the MSAR.
• Logistical support in promotional actions, such as seminars, workshops, exhibitions, and bootcamps.
• Organization of startup delegations and meetings related to promotion and dissemination in Portugal or in the MSAR.
• Human Resources training actions in areas of mutual interest, focusing on Entrepreneurship and Startups, to be carried out in Portugal and in the MSAR.
• Exchange and mutual availability of information through the contact details of each entity, including the publication of mutual content on the corresponding electronic platforms.
• Dynamization in Portugal of a platform that allows the MSAR startups to accommodate themselves, within the scope of their internationalization processes for Europe, and dynamization in the MSAR of a platform that allows Portuguese startups to accommodate, within the scope of their internationalization processes for the MSAR and China.

The promotional activities that take place in the MSAR have the operational and logistical support of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM). The actions in Portugal have logistical and operational support from Startup Portugal.

The MoU encourages cooperation between the two entities in the following areas:

• Logistic support in promotional actions, namely seminars, workshops, exhibitions, and bootcamps.
• Organization of startup delegations and meetings related to the promotion and dissemination of promotional actions both in Portugal and in Romania.
• Identification of sources of financing, related to programs and projects for developing startups and promoting entrepreneurship.
• Human Resources training actions in areas of mutual interest, focusing on Entrepreneurship and Startups, to be carried out in Portugal and Romania.
• Exchange and mutual availability of information through the contact details of each entity, including the publication of mutual content on the corresponding electronic platforms.

Promotional actions can take place in both countries and both entities are committed to providing operational and logistical support to the activities carried out in their territory.

Purpose of the MoU:

The signatory entities recognize the mutual benefit of cooperation through the sharing of knowledge, extensive experiences, and complement the strengths of each party, as a basis for effective collaboration and partnership development between the entrepreneurial ecosystems of Thailand and Portugal.

The MoU encourages cooperation between the two entities in the following areas:

• Deepen the connection between the startup ecosystems in Portugal and Thailand, through mutual support and promotion to their innovative enterprises and high-tech startups.
• To enhance joint opportunities, through actions that promote and facilitate the development of businesses focused on innovative solutions, such as international conferences, seminars, workshops and training programs, business delegations and study visits, meetings and other activities as the Parties may deem appropriate.
• Exchange information and experiences of startup ecosystems in the cities of Bangkok and Lisbon in order to promote growth and encourage their vibrant ecosystems, through eight major axes:

Funding, market reach, global connectedness, technological talent, entrepreneurial experience, resource attraction, corporate involvement, founder strategy and ambition.
